Angus Young

Angus Young
  • Weight: 80 Kg
  • Age: 22
  • Position: Captain & Pilot
  • FTP: 320 Watts

Hardcore endurance triathlete and Nordic skier, Angus Young pilots the quad tandem for Team GB. With good results over Ironman distances, he hopes to bring the watts and guide the team to victory. Sadly his severe dyslexia means he is unable to read road signs or tell left from right...

Samuel Mallet

Samuel Mallet
  • Weight: 90 Kg
  • Age: 22
  • Position: Stoker
  • FTP: 235 Watts

Our beer-drinking, house-building, football-loving, bloke from Little England steps across the pond for the very first time. A triathlete and self proclaimed “low intensity” sportsman, can he overcome his fear of a raised heart rate and put the power down to propel this ridiculous contraption to victory?

Will Skirrow

Will Skirrow
  • Weight: 68 Kg
  • Age: 22
  • Position: Rear Gunner
  • FTP: 255 Watts

Hill climbing specialist and triathlete with a fear of water, Will Skirrow brings up the rear for Team GB. He possesses a natural ability to break almost anything, and may therefore be banned from touch the bicycle with his hands. An outspoken advocate for Power to Weight ratios in cycling, will he spin to win? Or just crack under the pressure of his teammates’ generous baggage?

Nat McAleese

Nat McAleese
  • Weight: 65 Kg
  • Age: 22
  • Position: Navigator
  • FTP: Questionable.

Nat brings the technical know-how to a team of easily distracted, quickly bored Brits. Hopefully his infamous wisdom and local knowledge will keep them on task. Perhaps it might even make up for the lack of any tangible sporting experience. Joining us directly from the world famous Burning Man festival in Nevada, will Nat have not only found himself, but also the patience to put up with the other three goons?

Jeff Belanger

  • Age: 32
  • Position: Captain & Pilot
  • FTP: "Out for a rip" Watts

This glorious-bearded, whisky-sluggin, parrot-loving, crusty old cap has shaken off the last few years of “hard” living to come back and ride to glory with Team Canada. The famous captain is returning to the helm of Quadriguez for his 3rd round of conquest with hopes he and his brothers will satisfy his insatiable thirst for quad tandem glory.

"Hambone" Simon

"Hambone" Simon
  • Weight: 91 Kg
  • Age: 30
  • Position: "Assistant" Captain
  • FTP: 325 Watts

An outdoor-adventure enthusiast from Vancouver BC. Good vibes, burritos and strumming his guitar all help keep Ham’s chain greased. By far the coolest and most talkative team member, Ham is excited for his upcoming GQ cover. He’s got at least 3000 km of quad tandem experience (3000Km more than every Brit!), and is frothing to get back on the saddle.

Ben Miller

Ben Miller
  • Weight: 81 Kg
  • Age: 32
  • Position: "Retired"
  • FTP: "Several"

The slim-jim of the group. Ben wanted to get back on the basketball court and live out his true dream, but he’s settled for getting back on the quad. An original team member from the first quad tandem experience, Ben’s seen the highs and lows of riding one bike with three others. He’s also the team's sports psychologist and early morning meditation leader.

Ryan Hickey

Ryan Hickey
  • Weight: 81 Kg
  • Age: 31
  • Position: Nutrition Coach
  • FTP: Undisclosed.

Though he may look a bit intimidating at first glance, don’t be fooled… Ryan is a book-loving, kitchen-dwelling, health and wellness guru. Nothing but laughs and good times. Whether he is working on his swing, reading up on the latest health trends, or going to bed by 4:30 pm. Ryan is always striving for self improvement. When he’s not rolling quad tandem, he’ll be in the kitchen prepping meals for the boys. They’re usually, er, nutrient-dense? Ryan’s excited to get back on the coast again with his mates and crush the dreams of the uppity British challengers.
